Perry Como是美国二战后至摇滚升起的50年代中期的最伟大的流行歌手之一。他于1912年出生在宾夕法尼亚，在家乡的时候，是个有点小名气会唱歌的理发师。21岁便跟随演出团四处旅行。30年代中期，他意外得到一家叫做Beat the band的流行电台的差事，但终止与1942年。之后他主持了CBS电台的一个叫Super Club的节目，同时开始在好莱坞兼差。

Perry Como真正的成功始于1945年，当年他的单曲《Till the end of time》连续10周停在排行榜的顶端，成为当年最热门歌曲。之后10年，他的歌曲不断进入榜单，并成绩卓越。2001年5月12日，Perry Como在他佛罗里达的家中，静悄悄地死于睡梦之中。
